NCAOCA Summer Newsletter

The NCAOCA newsletter team is collecting submissions for the Summer 2023 NCAOCA newsletter, NCAOCA News!, and we would love to hear from you.

Please share your insight and knowledge pertaining to local, state, and regional considerations regarding counseling incarcerated clients and clients with addictions.

Our newsletter sections include: 

• NCAOCA and Community Happenings: Addictions and offender counseling-related events within our division and our surrounding communities. 
• Legislation on the Horizon: Pieces considering pertinent legislation to our division and those we serve.
• Addictions and Offender Advocacy: Discussion of advocacy considerations or measures pertaining to addiction and offender counseling and/or marginalized communities impacted by addiction and the criminal legal system.
• Clinical Insights: Exploration of approaches to addictions and offender counseling, discussion on the current state of counseling and research. 

Submit articles, reflective writings, art/images, relevant resources, and more.  Submissions should be between 1 and 4 pages (double-spaced, Times New Roman size 12 font) and include a short author bio (2-3 sentences) and picture.
