Demonstrating Cultural Humility Through Child-Centered Approaches

The purpose of this Pre-Session is to address how counselors demonstrate cultural humility through child-centered approaches. This requires all of us to continuously adapt and change our ways of relating to children, their parents, and their teachers.
Learning Objectives:
- Define cultural humility
- Describe how cultural humility can be demonstrated through child-centered approaches
- Describe specific ways they can adapt what they are doing to become more culturally humble
- Describe how to advocate for their child clients through working with the adults in their lives
